Well, if you know me or if you follow my posts, you know that my life is a little bit conflicted. :) I've been battling infertility for nearly 6 years, so I write regularly on the blog www.hopeduringinfertility.com. However, I'm a nanny to a bunch of little kids, so I write book reviews of children's books (and other posts) on www.chixpartyoffive.com. I intend for this blog to be my catch-all, as well as a place to update you on future writing projects. (My writing projects range from children's books to adult fiction and non-fiction. Please keep following me to see what and when I'm sharing these things! Right now my writings are somewhere between an idea and a final copy.)
Since my last post here, I wrote the following:
Today's infertility post compared the misery of a common cold to the misery of infertility. If you'vehttp://www.hopeduringinfertility.com/common-cold-infertility/.
had a cold but not struggled to get pregnant, then you definitely need to read this:
Last week I shared a post that came from the depths of my heart. It's my own realization that NOTHING I do will bring about a pregnancy - it's ULTIMATELY in God's hands. Read it here: http://www.hopeduringinfertility.com/how-we-become-parents/.
And a new favorite children's book is something I wrote about today on the blog I share with The Chix (my BFFs from college): http://chixpartyoffive.com/2016/04/you-read-to-me-ill-read-to-you-book-review-betsy/.
March was a busy month for me, including having an outpatient surgery right in the middle.
April involves two weekends of travel. This past weekend I enjoyed a getaway to a mountain retreat center for the Winsome Retreat with "my book club ladies." I came home feeling very refreshed and encouraged. In a couple of weeks I'll be traveling again to help out at a friend's wedding!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi, I’m Betsy, and I live in the Washington, D.C. area with my husband, Mike. We have been married since 2008. We enjoy exploring new cities together on foot, eating at our favorite Italian restaurants, and doing life as a team. I published my first book Embracing Hope During Infertility in January 2015. You can learn more about me here. I invite you to connect with me by following my Hope During Infertility Facebook page or my Betsy Herman, Writer Facebook page. Thanks so much for reading my posts!
