What have I been writing about lately? Other than future works in process (including more blog posts and books, Lord willing), below are some of my reflections in the past month:
The biggest even in my life in the past few weeks is that I had surgery! Here's the original post, where I asked the world for prayer.

The surgery went well, and a follow-up post will come soon.
Should you chase your dreams or chase your dreams away? I wrote about dream chasing just a couple of weeks ago (and I wore my "chase your dreams" shirt again today!) Here's the post: www.chixpartyoffive.com/2016/03/chase-your-dreams-away-betsy/.
Over on my www.HopeDuringInfertility.com page, I have shared several book reviews:
Ever Bitter Thing is Sweet: http://www.hopeduringinfertility.com/infertility-books-every-bitter-thing/
When God Doesn't Fix It: http://www.hopeduringinfertility.com/when-god-doesnt-fix-it-infertility-books/
(More book reviews will be rolling out this week.)
I also posted a few thoughts on scriptures that describe the highs and lows of infertility:
http://www.hopeduringinfertility.com/highs-lows-infertility/.
Finally, I helped get this blog rolling for the writers' group I lead at our church: http://unlockingwords.blogspot.com/.
Thanks for following along! Leave me a comment or send me a note to let me know what you think.
Welcome! I'm Betsy Herman, a full time wife and mom and part time writer. I love sharing what I've learned about hope during years of infertility and loss. Here I'll describe some of the ways God has surprised me by showing me "beauty in barren places." I encourage you to put your hope in Jesus regardless of what you're going through! And if you also have a story to tell - I'll do what I can to encourage you to write your story!
