Maybe this describes you:
·
You’re a stay-at-home mom to little ones,
and you have an idea for a children’s book that nobody has written yet, and you
want to write it.
·
God gives you vivid dreams in the night,
and those dreams have inspired a story you want to publish.
·
You’ve had an unusual life experience and
you want to share your story in a memoir.
·
You write hilarious yet insightful
Facebook posts, and your friends are begging you to turn your stories into a
book, but you don’t know what steps to take next.
·
You have begun writing a novel, and you
want to finish it and share it with the world.
·
You’re writing a devotional or a Bible
study curriculum, but you don’t know how to get it into people’s hands.
·
You have a teacher’s heart, and want to
consolidate your thoughts into a book that you can easily distribute.
The above scenarios are based on conversations I’ve
had with people in the past year, so I know that there are many soon-to-be
authors out there who simply need a nudge.
You might think that your story is not
interesting. You might think that your testimony is not dramatic
or
exciting. However, no matter what you feel, every story is worth
sharing when God is the Author. Although God gives us liberty to make decisions in
this “story” of our lives, at the same time, Psalm 139:16 says, “…all the days
ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to
be.” He truly is the Author of life. A message I keep hearing from other
Christians is that we need to share our stories. I fully agree that we should.
Although many people dream of one day writing a book, it
seems that very few follow through with writing and publishing their words.
Never has becoming a published author been so achievable, yet it still requires
effort. Traditional publishing houses remain competitive, but independent publishing
is attainable. If you have considered writing a book, then why not start now?
If you're thinking "this is me!" then I've written a book intended for you. Write Your Story: Straightforward Steps for (Finally) Writing and Publishing Your Book is a short and easy read that will walk you through the steps of writing, editing, publishing, and marketing.
