Well, at the beginning of November I posted that I was working on a novel. It's an idea that has been rolling around in my mind for years, so there was no better time than when countless others took time to write a novel. I sat down a handful of times to work on it, and I came up with a skeleton plan and a few scenes or conversations. But I didn't get very far.
November, y'all, November is a tough time for me to focus on writing! It seems that so many of our bills and subscriptions renew in the fall - insurance plans, for example, and we travel nearly every November - this time we took two road trips - with a baby!
With a baby - I'm still trying to figure out how to write with a baby in my care.
That being said, I participated in NaNoWriMo, but I only squeezed out less than a tenth of my goal. But it's saved on my computer, ready for me to pick up the story again one day soon.
What are you writing?
Welcome! I'm Betsy Herman, a full time wife and mom and part time writer. I love sharing what I've learned about hope during years of infertility and loss. Here I'll describe some of the ways God has surprised me by showing me "beauty in barren places." I encourage you to put your hope in Jesus regardless of what you're going through! And if you also have a story to tell - I'll do what I can to encourage you to write your story!
