1) The themes of infertility and moving to a new place and finding new friends really spoke to me. This book also speaks to mother-daughter relationships, financial struggles, a husband struggling to find the right job, and the challenge of making new friends as an adult.
2) I loved the 5-way friendship described in this book, as I have a close circle of 5 friends that is really special to me.
3) I usually try to read books quickly. But I wanted to savor this one and not finish it, since the sequel isn't coming out until next summer! However, I read it to the end, and the story and the characters are sweet. The plot isn't quite what I expected.
4) I've read nearly all of Robin Jones Gunn's books, so of course I wanted to read this one. Robin Jones Gunn has been a favorite author of mine for at least 25 years. Christy Miller and other beloved characters are in this book as well as new characters (who will soon become your friends!)
