One day, while reading posts in a Christian author Facebook group, I clicked on the name of a woman who had a question about publishing children's books and was surprised to discover that she lives very close to me! After corresponding I eventually had a chance to meet Yanick Kane, a wife, mom, and author who wears many other hats as well.
Check out God the Ultimate Superhero vs. The Villain Named Jealousy. This is Yanick's first children's book, intended to be part of a series, helps children work through their feelings and thoughts of jealousy.
This book and the illustrations caught the attention of the children I shared it with. However, beyond the words and pictures, the children caught onto the message that jealousy will tempt them (especially with sibling rivalry) AND that Jesus enables them to overcome! I look forward to more books in this series.
