Write Your Story (New Book Baby + The Story of 2017)

Several years ago I was determined to never release a book in December again. It's too busy of a month. However, I've managed to release my other books in January and November, and I was determined to hit "publish" on the latest one in 2017. It didn't happen, and that's okay, because the bulk of the work on Write Your Story happened in 2017.

Let me tell you why that year felt so important to me:

January 2017 started off on a discouraging note. The new year marked yet another year of not being able to have children. My husband and I had both recently had birthdays, which made me feel old. We were still asking God to open a door in my husband's career. On top of all that, I was extremely discouraged as a writer. So much work, so little pay, and I felt like doors were closing in my face. I cried a lot of tears that January over my discouragement as a writer... a lot.

By the end of the month, my husband had the job offer we'd hoped for. Six months later, we discovered that our miracle baby was on the way. The two greatest things we had been asking God for a long time were finally ANSWERED!

In the first few months of 2017, God opened doors for me to attend several conferences. One was about writing and publishing and it filled my mind with new ideas and insight. One was about healing - and I believed that God literally washed away my discouragement that weekend, and something shifted in my body as well because pregnancy followed a few months later. The third was a creative arts conference where I experienced a major shift in perspective as a writer. You can read about it in Write Your Story!

2017 has been one of the most life-changing, breakthrough-bringing years I have ever experienced. That's why I've put every spare moment into creating a resource for new authors. Write Your Story is for anyone who has ever dreamed of writing a book, but hasn't known how, or who has gotten bogged down in the process. I hope that this book, which is an overflow of my writing-related thoughts and my heart in 2017, will usher in your breakthrough as well.
